These five movie couples would never make it in real life
We all have a few movies that we will always love and remember. Movies with happy endings, movies without happy endings and especially movies with great romances. Some love stories really are too good to be true. What would they be like if they’d happen in real life?
+The Breakfast Club: John Bender & Claire Standish = Posttraumatic bitterness: The spoiled brat fall for the abused bad boy, in order to get closer to her dad. John will probably shut down completely when it comes to real intimacy.
+Dances With Wolves: Luitenant Dunbar & Stands With a Fist = Stockholm Syndrome: Under difficult circumstances these two join a tribe and they fall in love because of what they have in common in this situation. Their love is based on the fact that they both miss something, so they’ll basically fall in love with anyone who’s not mean to them.
+The Little Mermaid: Eric & Ariel = Unrealistic compromise: Ariel gives up her life and her voice to be with Eric, but eventually she’ll regret giving everything up. It’s a one-sided compromise, which is one of the main reasons for divorce.
+Star Wars Trilogy: Leia & Han Solo = Everything that surrounds them has to do with war. If it wasn’t for the war, they would have never met, and they don’t know each other in a non-war situation. Relationships that start during times of war often end when the war is over, and after wars there is always a much higher divorce rate (fact!).
+Star Trek: Spock (Zachary Quinto) & Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana) = Spock’s emotionally unavailable. It’s not in his nature to feel love or emotion, let alone communicate his feelings.SOURCE:
