This week’s post is all about the indie girl. Many people are going to see this title and think, ‘indie, really??’ since traditionally the dictionary definition of indie is: an independent film or record company. However, today people often use the word to refer to young, fashionable women like these chic LA girls with killer looks and style. The term is now commonly used to define an individual who is not generic, who thinks outside the box and whose ideas are unconventionally fashionable and unique. The indie girl is all about being a little bit crazy and taking tasteful risks in fashion. Die your hair blue, purple and blond. Buy that $3 dollar dress and rip it into a skirt. Rock your dad’s old combat jacket, stud your favorite pair of Docs, but most importantly stay true to yourself. Be the independent, beautiful girl you are. That is what makes you an indie girl.
