Amazing life-like sculptures by Ron Mueck

We love modern art, but let’s be honest: Some modern art is a pretentious load of bull. We prefer art that makes us feel something. One of our favorites in that field is Ron Mueck. This talented London-based artist started out working for Jim Henson as a puppet-maker, but in the past few years he’s made a name for himself as one of the most talented sculptors around.

Mueck makes statues that are hyper-realistic. Every single detail about the people he creates is right, down to the very last pores and hair-follicles. There’s one difference: they’re either enormous or really really tiny, making you feel very awkward and disoriented. If you ever have the chance to see his work in real life, you should really go.
